I know you’ve come to expect deep philosophical thinking from me, but I’ve got to be honest I am half a tequila-soda deep on a Thursday with taco meat on the stove, so pls… lower your expectations.
My gift to you this week — The Perfect Outfit.
I put on this outfit to run errands this week and I had to text my sister a picture to say “look how amazingly me this outfit is!” What a feeling! What a rush! To move through the world devoid of even the barest hint of self consciousness! To feel so utterly yourself! Wow!
I mean LOOK!
Stunning. Perfect. Wonderful. (Functional, says Isaac.)
The wide leg pants? Very me. The solid colors? Very me. The fun jewelry? Very me. The art teacher button down? Soooo me. Gah! I just can’t get over it!
^ Here I am monologuing about how my goal for my wardrobe is to get to a point where I always feel this at home in my outfits, unless I’m intentionally trying something new and outside of my comfort zone. Like maybe an 80/20 split. There was much waving of hands and exclaiming about how nice it is to just not have to think about how other people are perceiving you because you’re so at home within your little outfit-bubble.
Here’s the whole thing (and also this really cool mural that’s in my neighborhood) during a walk back from the little market (to get materials for the aforementioned tacos).
ANYWAYS.
That’s really all I’ve got for you. Next week I’ll be in Hawaiiiii on Friday for a dance comp, so I’m going to write a pre-comp forecast before I leave. Something to look forward to! In the meantime, I hope you find an outfit that you really love this weekend. Send me pics.
Last thought. You know when someone who really loves you takes your picture and you can just… tell?
Anyways, thank you all so much for being here as always. It’s taco time for me :)
xoxo,
Beautiful picture you Gracie. Love ❤️ you so much
I see you! (Wait, that's my shirt!) 😀❤
